EMERGENCY
RESPONSE SYSTEM
The
Main Street Messenger emergency response system has
become a lifeline to provide peace of mind for many
families in the area.
Because
of this system, many of our elderly are able to remain
in their homes longer. Our physically handicapped and
seriously ill are able to remain home, alone, while
their families continue to work or attend outside activities.
The peace of mind is two-fold. For the family members
who are not there, and for the person with the monitor.
Knowing that one touch, will bring help on its way immediately.
The
telephone system comes with a button which can
be worn either as a pendant or on the wrist. With a
touch of this button, an alert is sounded and the telephone
system automatically dials a 1-800 number to Cooperative
Response Center. Once they receive the alert, a dispatcher
attempts to contact the consumer to find out if they
are in need of aid. Whether or not they are able to
contact them, they will notify one of the responders
a consumer has chosen. The unique feature of this, is
that the person can be up to 80 feet away and the alert
will trigger the phone to dial. This will then open
the telephone up to allow the Cooperative Response Team
to hear them through a sophisticated speaker system.
If
you are someone who may be interested in this, or know
someone who is, contact us. We will be happy to explain
this to you and setup a system in the home.
The
charges are as follows:
$60
one time fee for installation
$15 monthly lease for the telephone
$12.50 monthly monitoring fee. |
