This program offers the member the opportunity to obtain a lower rate for electric heat. Two meters are installed at the member’s house, one for the electric heat and the other for the other electrical use. The meter that measures the electric heat used will have a radio control which will allow the power to be turned off for short periods of time during the peak usage hours. This typically does not happen every day. In exchange for allowing us to turn off the power during the peak hours, we will give the member a significantly lower rate on the electric heat meter.

    Hot Waterheaters With A Radio Control — This program rewards the member with a credit on each month's bill for allowing us to turn off the hot water heater by radio control during Peak Demand Hours.

     Currently, we have thousands of these controls installed and seldom does the member even know when his heater is turned off. Many members have two controls, one in the house and one in the barn or garage. In these cases the member is rewarded twice as much.
