First Call ® EMERGENCY RESPONSE SYSTEM

The First Call emergency response system has become a lifeline to provide peace of mind for many families in the area.

This system has allowed many of our elderly to remain in their homes longer. Also, physically handicapped, or those with illness that cannot be left unattended are able to remain home, alone, when their family members are unable to be there. The system provides Peace of mind for the family members and for the person with the monitor. They know that with the touch of the pendant, help will be on its way.

We offer two types of systems:

The Main Street Messenger is a telephone system that can be used as a regular phone and as an emergency system. The emergency pendant is worn either as a necklace or on the wrist. With a touch of this button, an alert is sounded and the telephone system automatically dials a 1-800 number to Cooperative Response Center and opens a speaker system on the phone for two way communication with the consumer. Once they receive the alert, a dispatcher attempts to contact the consumer and finds out if they are in need of aid. Whether or not the consumer is able to respond, CRC begins the emergency procedures by contacting the responders provided. Should they be unable to connect with one of the responders, they will then contact 911 and ask that someone be dispatched to the home to check on them.

The Pers Unit is another emergency system without the telephone portion. This unit works the same way as the Main Street Messenger and has an emergency pendant that can be worn as a necklace or on the wrist. Once the pendant is activated, it will dial into CRC dispatch, and open the speaker to provide two way communication with the consumer. While they are attempting to communicate with the consumer, they are also contacting the responders to alert them that their family member, neighbor, or friend is in need of help. Should they be unable to connect with one of the responders, they will then contact 911 and ask that someone be dispatched to the home to check on them.
