Youth Leadership Program
Due To COVID-19 The Youth Leadership Congress Scheduled For July 14–16, 2020
At UW–River Falls HAS BEEN CANCELLED
The Youth Leadership Congress (YLC), scheduled for mid-July has been cancelled. While we are hopeful that that things will return to normal as soon as possible, it is unlikely that large gatherings will be appropriate over the next few months. Because the health and wellness of our young people, our members, and all of our communities is the priority, we remain focused on supporting the efforts to stop the spread of the coronavirus.
Clark Electric Cooperative supports, encourages, and sponsors high school students through programs such as the Youth Leadership Congress (YLC) which is conducted by the Wisconsin Electric Cooperative Association (WECA). This is a great opportunity for students to learn through a mix of seminar sessions, hands-on activities, and team-building experiences. Students are equipped with information to handle a variety of real-life issues and are given the opportunity to identify and explore their leadership potential. The next year’s program is planned and conducted by teens that have attended the conference, which gives them the opportunity to enhance the program for the next year.
